The Cornelius PARC Department and the Children's Arts Project presented the 4th Annual Drumfest on Saturday, May 17 in Cornelius' Smithville Park! This hands-on event featured Jim Boyce and the SilverTones Steel Drum Band who performed and taught participants about the Caribbean style rhythm and the marvelous sounds of the steel drum. Arts and crafts activities were available for children, provided by the Children's Arts Project based at the Cornelius Arts Center. This event was free and over 75 participants attended!
